Our Story
The Journey of Sanado: My Passion for Pilates
Hello, I’m Erinn (aka Rinny) — the founder of Sanado.
My journey with Pilates began shortly after the pandemic, when I was searching for a gentle yet powerful way to reconnect with my body and live a more balanced, healthy life. At the time, I was working remotely in a new city and spending most days indoors, so Pilates became not only a form of movement, but also a way to engage with my local community.
I earned my Mat and Reformer certifications through Balanced Body as a recipient of the Diversity in Pilates Scholarship. I trained under Melissa K. at Remedy Movement in Raleigh for my Reformer certification, and continue to learn from my wonderful mentors — Tonya Amos, owner of Aspire Pilates Center in California, and Misty Lynn Cauthen, owner of Dragonfly Pilates.
Through my practice, I’ve come to believe that Pilates has the power to awaken parts of the body that have gone dormant — offering a path to healing through movement.
The name Sanado, meaning “healed” in Spanish, came to me during one of my daily walks. It reflects my core belief that healing happens when we nurture both the body and the spirit — through mindful movement, community, and a deep connection to God.
I’m excited to continue this journey, creating communal experiences that inspire connection, growth, and a more healed way of living.
